At the November 14, 2024 Board Meeting, the Board of Commissioners approved a 5% rate increase. This rate increase reflects the increase in costs to provide safe and reliable drinking water to our customers.
In 2024, the Board of Commissioners hired an outside consultant to review the District's current rate structure as well as anticipated growth to provide a recommendation on the rates for the next 3 years. It was the recommendation of the financial consultant that the District raise rates in both 2024 and 2025 to keep up with rising inflation and increased cost of transporting and storing potable water. Even with the proposed rate increase, King County Water District 125 manages to have some of the lowest rates in the region. If you have any questions about the rate setting process please feel free to contact the District at (206) 242-9547 or e-mail us at office@waterdistrict125.com
